Palatine’s historic Leinster charge continues this weekend as they take on Portarlington this Sunday

Speaking to Scoreline, Pal Chairperson Nickey Parle suggested the Carlow champions are very much coming into this tie as underdogs;

“They will be the bookie’s favorites to win, not just against Palatine, but the favorites for Leinster as well. We have a home match, so I know the lads will give 100%”

“If we are still the game I think we will push them all the way over the line.”

The countdown is on to the biggest game in our club’s history.
We need YOU now !
No excuses, we want every Pal man, woman and child there to roar our boys on.
The lads haven’t let us down all year, we won’t let them down on Sunday 👊.
We simply can’t wait ❤️💚 @Carlow_GAA pic.twitter.com/rM37U2cvv5

That game is broadcast live on KCLR this Sunday with thanks to Dan Morrissey and Co

It won’t be the only live football game this weekend on air as we will be splitting frequencies for both Clonmores and Mullinavat’s Leinster clashes.

Throw in for Clonmore’s tie against Straffen from Kildare is at 1.30 in Netwatch Cullen Park, and speaking ahead of the game Clonmore chairman James Doyle says the home-field advantage is a huge bonus.

“We are delighted to get the two games at home, and I think if we win we could be home again, but that is for another game.”

“We are delighted to have all our games at home, we have not won that much in recent years, so to keep winning in Netwatch Cullen Park will be a huge benefit to our young team. This experience will stand to them in years to come.”
