The Kilkenny Camogie AGM was held on Tuesday night, confirming the county board’s officers for the 2023 campaign.
Clara’s Theresa Aylward continues as chair with Martin Quilty transitioning from PRO to vice-chair with responsibility for fixtures this coming season, replacing Ger Carroll who departs the county board setup. Theresa Hunston (secretary), Eoghan Cooney (treasurer) and Paula Dowling (registrar) will all continue in their current roles with Aoife Lanigan returning to the role of PRO, assisted by Mark Flynn.
Tommy Farrell replaces Damien Donohue as development officer while Lillian Holohan continues as child welfare officer. Leinster delegates for the year ahead are David Phelan and John Kavanagh, the latter replacing Roseanna Doyle.
2022 proved to be a standout year for camogie in Kilkenny with the senior county team going unbeaten from January to claim the Leinster and All-Ireland titles, while Thomastown, James Stephens and Carrickshock claimed the club honours at senior, intermediate and junior level.
While Thomastown exited the Leinster senior club championships at the first hurdle, James Stephens have overcome Raharney and St. Brigids to land a Leinster intermediate club championship final against Myshall this Sunday afternoon.
