St. Pat’s Boys 6-3 win over Killeshin on Friday night helped extend their lead at the top of the Nationalist Premier Division in Carlow to four points, albeit with Crettyard having two games in hand in second.
20 goals were shared between two games in the Douglas Jewellers Carlow Cup on Sunday while Evergreen cut Freebooters’ lead in the St. Canice’s Credit Union Premier Division in Kilkenny to three points following a 5-0 win over Thomastown as their A team returned to action on Sunday.
