James Stephens’ Sophie O’Dwyer has finished as top scorer for 2022 in the intermediate club camogie championships per Bill Hill.
O’Dwyer helped herself to a 1-4 haul in Saturday’s All-Ireland final though Clonduff held their edge as the Ulster champions ran out 0-12 to 1-06 winners to claim this year’s intermediate club title.
The Village half-forward was head-and-shoulders above the competition, finishing with 32 points in all, the only player this season to break the 20-point mark in the championship. She finishes out 2022 with a 1-29 tally. Teammate Michelle Teehan falls just outside the top ten with 2-06 while Emma Manogue, Niamh Deely, Caoimhe Moran, Rachel Leahy, and Ciara Delaney were also on the scoresheet for John Scott’s side over the course of the championship.
Beaten Leinster finalists Myshall have Ciara Quirke sitting in third on the overall list with 14 points to her championship account, Caoimhe Jordan just sneaking inside the top ten with an eight-point haul. Sarah Sheehan, Tara Wilson, Emma Coogan, Breege Nolan, Rhiannon Kenny, Amie Nolan and Ali Ruschtizko are also among the Carlow champions’ scorers for the season.
