The GAA’s annual congress was held over this past weekend
One of the proposals put forward was to stay with the U20 age grade at inter-county level but ease restrictions to allow players play both U20 and senior, albeit for only one of those teams in any seven-day period. That motion was passed successfully at 82% in favor with 18% against.
Speaking to Scoreline Under20 All Ireland winner and Current Kilkenny Senior manager Derek Lyng said the decision won’t make much of a difference

Sadly, the death has been announced of the former All Ireland winning hurler with Tipperary, Mick Burns.
From the Nenagh Eire Og club, he won the Liam McCarthy Cup with the Premier county on five occasions in 1958, 1961, 1962, 1964 and 1965.
SOCCER
Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw by RB Leipzig in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie in Germany last night.
Riyad Mahrez put City in front, but Josko Gvardiolequalised for the home side. City boss Pep Guardiola went on the pitch at the end of the game to give his players a motivational talk, with the second leg to come in just under three weeks’ time.

In the Europa League tonight, Manchester United host Barcelona in their knockout round tie, with the match tied at 2 goals apiece from the first leg.
The Spanish club is without influential midfielders Pedri and Gavi. Kick-off at Old Trafford is at 8.
ATHLETICS
Kilkenny City Harriers Cliodhna Manning has been selected to represent Ireland for the European Indoors as part of the 4x400m relay squad.
Clionna will travel with a squad of over 16 to particpate in the championship that is being held in Istanbul on the second of March
RUGBY
Ireland head coach Andy Farrell could make six changes to his team to face Italy in the Six Nations in Rome on Saturday.
Ross Byrne is set to replace the injured Johnny Sexton at out half, and may be partnered by Munster scrum half Craig Casey.
Ulster second row Iain Henderson is tipped to replace Tadhg Beirne, while Ronan Kelleher and Jack Conan may be selected in the pack, with Caelan Doris moving to the blindside flanker position.
Bundee Aki could get the nod at inside centre.
