After over two days of waiting to find out, we finally have a date and a venue for this year’s Allianz Hurling League final.
Kilkenny’s six-point win over Cork at the weekend booked their spot in this year’s league decider in what will be a repeat of last year’s All-Ireland senior hurling final with Limerick waiting in the wings. The All Ireland Champions recorded their own six-point victory against fellow Munster rivals Tipperary.

To the surprise of some, the game isn’t going to either Croke Park or Thurles on Easter Saturday, instead taking to Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Easter Sunday for a 2 pm throw-in.
Limerick manager John Kiely, speaking to Stephen Gleeson following their six-point win over Tipperary in their Div. One league semi-final, says The Treaty will have to keep upping their standards in the next few weeks;
“We are delighted to be there, we know it will be a really tough game. From our point of view, it is something to work towards in the next two weeks. We just want to keep improving week to week, that’s where our focus is at.”
“The next two weeks, we will see if we can rise the bar a little bit further. A lot of lads have really put their hand up. That is only good from a competitive perspective in terms of team selection for the next day.”
