Carlow & Kilkenny soccer results: KCLR McCalmont Cup semi-finals booked as Premier Cup nears finish

Carlow's Premier Cup finalists will be very familiar with each other while the KCLR McCalmont Cup has hit the last the four in Kilkenny.

This time of the season sees a lot of the club cup competitions in Kilkenny and Carlow drawing to a close and as of Sunday, we’ve got ourselves the lineup for this year’s KCLR McCalmont Cup semi-finals.

Here are some of the key results from Kilkenny and Carlow over the weekend. You can check full results for Kilkenny, including all underage fixtures, at kkleague.com while Carlow results can be found on carlowsoccer.ie.

Kilkenny soccer results (to 23/4/23)

Division 1 Billy Leahy Memorial Cup

  • St. Canice’s 3-1 Evergreen B
  • Ormonde Villa 2-6 Deen Celtic

The semi-finals will see Lions play Deen Celtic while Highview Athletic host St. Canice’s on 30 April.

Division 3 Jim Maher Memorial Cup

  • East End United 3-1 Spa United

Seanie O’Connor Memorial Shield

  • River Rangers B 2-4 River Rangers A
  • Newpark 3-3 Freshford Town (2-4 after pens)
  • Evergreen C 3-0 St. John’s

KCLR McCalmont Cup

  • Bridge United 1-3 Freebooters
  • Callan United 3-1 Thomastown United A

The semi-finals head to Derdimus Park next month with Freeboots set to meet Deen Celtic while Callan United face Evergreen 46.

Women’s St. Canices Credit Union Cup

  • Mill Celtic 5-2 East End

Mill Celtic will face the winners of Vale Wanderers and Newpark (playing 30 April) in this year’s final.

Carlow soccer results (to 23/4/23)

Tullys Travel Division 1 Cup

  • Dolmen Celtic 3-1 St. Pat’s Boys B

Keating Memorial Premier Cup semi-finals

  • Crettyard United 2-0 Vale Wanderers
  • New Oak Boys 2-1 Kilree Celtic
