The third round of club games take place in the St. Canices Credit Union Senior and Michael Lyng Motors Intermediate hurling leagues this weekend, with matches taking place over the next 48 hours starting this evening( Friday).
This evening (Friday), there are 5 games down for decision all commencing at 7.30pm.
In the Senior League, Clara will be looking to bounce back from defeat to O’Loughlin Gaels as they play Erins Own Castlecomer who recorded an emphatic victory against Danesfort.
That game is in Palmerstown, while in Ballyhale, O’Loughlins will be looking to continue their 100% start with victory against Mullinavat who scored 5 goals in defeat against Ballyhale Shamrocks last weekend.
Meanwhile, in Group B, Rower-Inistioge and Bennettsbridge clash in Thomastown as both teams attempt to bounce back from defeat last weekend.
There are two games in the Intermediate grade.
In Group A, Lisdowney play Tullogher-Rosbercon on the Kells Road and the Group is evenly contested with all 6 teams on 2 points after two rounds of matches, while in Group B, near neighbours Tullaroan and Graigue-Ballycallan square up to one another in Nowlan Park.
Tullaroan are outright top of the group with 4 points having won both their games.
Tomorrow Saturday, Ballyhale Shamrocks would be expected to win against a Danesfort outfit who have been well beaten in their opening two games.
That game is in John Locke Park, Callan at 5pm, while in Group B of the Senior League Fenians play St. Martins and Dicksboro play James Stephens.
Fenians are bottom of the group while St. Martins are going very well having won their opening two matches.
Throw-in in Ballyragget is at 7.30pm, while in Nowlan Park, Dicksboro and James Stephens play each other at the same time.
The one game in the Intermediate League tomorrow evening is in Gowran as Conahy Shamrocks play Glenmore.
There are three Intermediate games to be played on Sunday.
In Group A at 2pm, there are two matches down for decision.
St. Lachtains play Thomastown in Johns Park, while neighbours Carrickshock and Dunnamaggin battle it out in Windgap, while in Group B Young Irelands and St. Patricks Ballyragget will finish out the weekends actions at 4pm in Muckalee.
