Trainer Jessica Harrington has entered Quar Shamar and Bold Discovery for Saturday’s Tattersalls Irish 2,000 Guineas at the Curragh.
Her stable jockey is Kilkenny’s Shane Foley who spoke about both intended runners and first about Quar Shamar.
“It is a big step up for him, to go from Maiden to Group 1, but he is a horse that has been pleasing us.”
There’s a seven-race card at Limerick this evening, with the first off at 5.30.

The Cup final is tonight in Fenagh, with a repeat of last year’s final as St. Mullins takes on Bagnelstown Geals.
Last year Captain Michael Walsh lifted the Bolger Cup after St. Mullins bested Bagenalstown Gaels 2-16 to 1-14.
The shield will be contested on Sunday with St. Mullins going up against Mount Leinster Rangers.

Dublin and Kildare will meet in the Electric Ireland Leinster Minor football final for the second year running.
