Ever want to know what goes into training bonafide winners in the horse racing world? Well now is your chance.
You have the chance to meet John “Shark” Hanlon as he opens his doors to welcome you in to watch horses on the gallop and meet the team that looks after them. Visitors will also get the opportunity to get up close to horses in the yard, see the facilities and ask John (or Hewick) all you would like to know about training racehorses.
The event goes ahead in a few weeks’ time on June 17th in his Cartlow yard. This event is free but pre-registration is essential, and you can do so on www.racehorseownership.ie
For Kilkenny trainers Eoin Griffin opens his yard on the 3rd of September while Louise Lyons yard is available to view on the 23rd of September.
