Kilkenny’s Rachel Dowling has been named on this year’s Electric Ireland Minor Camogie Championship Team of the Year.
The Dicksboro player won an All-Ireland Senior A post-primary title with Loreto Kilkenny earlier this year and, per organisers “was a dominant presence in attack as the Cats reached the All-Ireland semi-final. Flawless from placed balls, she was a constant threat.”
Cork beat Waterford 1-13 to 1-10 in UPMC Nowlan Park at the beginning of May to claim this year’s All-Ireland minor camogie crown. The champions dominate this year’s selection with six places on the team, runners up Waterford with four, Galway with three, while Shauna Heffernan is the sole representative for Tipperary.
