We are just over a week away from the semi finals of the All ireland Hurling Championship.
Galway and Limerick meet on Saturday July 8th at 6pm in Croke Park with Kilkenny due to take on Clare for the second time two years at this stage on Sunday July 9th, that game with a 4pm throw-in.

Tony Kelly scored a hat trick as the Banner disposed of Dublin by 5-26 to 2-17 in spectacular fashion last weekend. The Ballyea man was happy to put the Munster final defeat against Limerick behind him and has his sights firmly now set on Kilkenny;
“The result was the main thing, we wanted to put together a few pieces of good play with it, and we did that for a few spells. There were maybe lulls in the game where we may not have done that but we are thrilled with the display.”
“The ruthlessness in our display in terms of our scoring. We came in for deserved criticism on the last day of the Munster final, we left a lot of chances up front behind us. So we tried to rectify that this week, and we did that. We left a bit behind us in the first quarter but we managed it a bit better this time around.”
“You are down to the last four, this is where you want to be. The last four will all think they can win the All-Ireland. That is the game of hurling at the minute, it is brilliant. We are no different, we will go to Dublin (Croke Park) to give it everything we have and Kilkenny will do likewise.”
The Clare maestro also stated they’ve taken a lot of learning from last year’s disappointment after Kilkenny beat Clare by 2-26
to 0-20 at the same stage.
“We are thrilled to be back in the semi-final, we were there last year. We have taken massive learnings from it, which has stood to us this year.”
