The Glen Dimplex Intermediate Championship is coming near completion with both Carlow and Kilkenny in action this weekend
Having had no game since the 10th June Kilkenny will play Wexford at the weekend in FBD Semple Stadium in the quarter-final of this year’s championship. Kilkenny topped their group having won their three games but came out of the draw to play in the quarter-final stages. Seamus Kelly’s side will be hoping to make it all the way to the All-Ireland final again this year. They were last in the decider in 2021 where they lost out to Antrim.

Meanwhile after getting a draw in their opening game against Antrim Carlow has found themselves in relegation trouble and have been drawn in the semi-final against Dublin. The winner will be safe for next season while the loser of that game will play Laois in the relegation final. Not the scenario that Peter ‘Chap’ Cleere would have been expecting after a good start but he will be hoping for a favorable draw at the weekend.
