We’re continuing to build up to Sunday’s All-Ireland semi-final between Kilkenny and Clare today.
Kilkenny comfortably defeated Sunday’s opponents at the same stage last year.

Clare defenders John Conlon and David McInerney are understood to be winning their battles to be fit for Sunday’s All Ireland senior hurling championship semi-final against Kilkenny at Croke Park. Centreback Conlon had to retire during the quarter-final win over Dublin.
The news is not believed to be as good in terms of full-back Conor Cleary, who is unlikely to feature because of a shoulder problem.
Meanwhile, Galway forward Jason Flynn is out of the other semi-final with Limerick on Saturday evening because of a hamstring injury.
Cork referee Colm Lyons will take charge of the game, was the referee in last year’s semi-final between Kilkenny and Limerick
James, who sent off Richie Hogan in the 2019 final, will take charge of Galway versus Limerick.

Mason Mount will be confirmed as Manchester United’s first signing of the summer today.
The midfielder last night confirmed his departure from Chelsea, saying it’s what’s right for him at this juncture of his career.
United will pay Chelsea an initial 63 million euro for Mount.
Roberto Firmino is the latest player joining the gold rush to Saudi Arabia.
The former Liverpool striker has agreed a three-year deal with Al Ahli.
Rugby
South Africa were last night confirmed as Ireland’s semi-final opponents at the World Under-20 Championship.
They completed their pool phase with a 24-points to 16 win over Argentina.
That semi-final will take place on Sunday afternoon at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town.
The other semi will see France play England.
TENNIS
Defending men’s champion Novak Djokovic and women’s top seed Iga Swiatek (pr: Sh-vee-on-tek) are in action at Wimbledon today.
Djokovic meets Jordan Thompson in the second round, with Swiatek to face Sara Sorribes Tormo.
Elsewhere in the men’s singles, third seed Daniil Medvedev plays Arthur Fery.
