Anna Brennan has claimed the David Buggy Motors Kilkenny Sport Star Award for July after some incredible achievements from the Graiguenamanagh Rowing Club star.
Anna is a 5th year student in Presentation Secondary School in Kilkenny who have been hugely supportive of her throughout all of her success.
She came 7th with Team Ireland in the junior women’s quad sculls at the European Junior Championships in Amsterdam on July 30th.
She also had tremendous individual success which saw Anna win her first international medal when she came 3rd at the Ghent International May Regatta in the Belgium U23 National Championships.
Anna came 4th in the U18 championship sculls at the hugely prestigious British National Schools Regatta which were held at the London Olympic course at Dorney Lake, Eton College.
She had domestic wins at the Tullamore time trials, Dublin Sculling Ladder, Neptune and Trinity Regattas.
Anna has had a hugely successful year and with next year as Anna’s last year as a junior she hopes to improve on her international success.
