It’s another busy weekend for KCLR and the Scoreline sports team and on the live front, it all starts at 7pm on Friday evening.

We’re back on the road for the second round of the Kilkenny club hurling championships with a wealth of senior hurling action live, along with reports and updates from around the grounds at all of this weekend’s intermediate and junior action.

Friday

Beginning on Friday evening in the St. Canice’s Credit Union Kilkenny senior hurling league with the meeting of O’Loughlin Gaels and Dicksboro, a positively mouthwatering city derby for this stage of proceedings. With both clubs putting in convincing performances in the opening round against Tullaroan and Clara respectively, there’s no doubt we should see sparks fly on the Kells Road from 7pm. Listen to that game live in full on air and here on Scoreline.ie.

At the same time, we’ll have updates from Mullinavat’s meeting with Tullaroan in Callan, Carrickshock and Rower Inistioge in Ballyhale while Cloneen take on Graignamanagh in Clara, all from 7pm.

Saturday

We’ve got a double-header of live hurling action on Saturday beginning at 4pm as we make our way back to the James Stephens club with Brendan Hennessy and Aidan Fogarty to bring you the meeting of Graigue-Ballycallan and Bennettsbridge, two sides already with contrasting starts to this season’s championship as The Kilkenny Hurling Podcast will attest to.

Then at 7pm we’re live in Tom Ryall Park where after opening-round defeats for both sides, Erins Own and Ballyhale Shamrocks go in search of their first points on the senior board this season.

Sunday

Sunday starts in Kilkenny and ends in Carlow, beginning with the 12.30pm meeting of Glenmore and James Stephens in Thomastown, the south Kilkenny club recording a big win over defending county champions Ballyhale last time out – you’ll find Oisin Langan and Mark Dowling on duty for that one.

We’ll join Adrian Ronan and Eddie Scally in Bennettsbridge at 2.30pm where Clara take on relegation-tipped Danesfort, again two sides going in search of their first points of the season.

Our coverage on Sunday concludes with the biggest day of the club hurling calendar in Carlow as St. Mullins and Mount Leinster Rangers go head-to-head once more to decide the county’s senior hurling title, that one live with Brendan Hennessy and Terence Kelly from 4pm in Netwatch Cullen Park.

Between all the games on Scoreline this weekend you’ll be able to get a feel for every other club game happening at the intermediate and junior level in Kilkenny on Scoreline and we’ll recap it all again on Full Time on Monday night. Keep an eye on the Scoreline.ie and KCLR socials for live game links and we’ll see you on the sidelines as always.
