The Kilkenny Senior and Intermediate Hurling Leagues are in the midst of a two-week break following three consecutive rounds of action.

While, KCLR has provided live commentary of 14 games in the St Canice’s Credit Union Kilkenny Senior Hurling League already, we’ve also had reports from all of the Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Intermediate League matches.

One of the teams who have surprisingly registered only one victory to date is Rower-Inistioge.

Defeats to Dunnamaggin and Thomastown have meant that their hopes of making the top two in their group are already over.

Their manager Thomas Gleason has been telling KCLR that he understands the pressure that is attached with being involved with the club.

“It’s all about pressure. Being in charge of the Rower, brings pressure with it.”

“There’s high expectations there and we have a quality group and a quality bunch of players so that’s what you want, that’s why you go to the field, that’s why you train and that’s why you have sleepless nights to see how you can get over the line.”

“So we embrace that and we like it.”

Get a rundown of all the action on the Kilkenny Hurling Podcast. Each week Robbie Dowling and former Blacks and Whites manager Eddie Scally cast their eye over all the action from the weekend’s senior, intermediate, and junior league and championship games as well as looking ahead to the next round of action.
