The St Canice’s Credit Union Kilkenny Senior Hurling League returns this weekend after a two-week break.

Clara ended up on the losing side of their last encounter with Tullaroan game, with the full-time score reading 1-16 to 2-08.

O’Loughlins and Mullinavat are the final two rounds of fixtures for the country club, with Clara just above 5th-placed Mullinavat in the table on scoring difference. The Gaels meanwhile occupy 2nd place on 4 points after two wins over Mullinavat and Tullaroan.

Manager Mick Purcell says his team just needs to push on for the rest of the league after just recording one victory so far this campaign.

“In this championship, you have to be trying to get up as far as you can in the table because history shows that the further up on the table there, you are more likely to stay longer in the championship.”

“We are where we are. What we can do now is go out and have a go at it in the next two games and hopefully, you get the wins there.”
