Where do clubs stand: Kilkenny Camogie leagues after round 3

Kilkenny Camogie Leagues

The Camogie leagues are in full swing as we head into the knock-out stages of the competitions, who’s on top and who’s near the bottom

In the Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Senior League there was four games played last night. Dicksboro has maintained their perfect start to the campaign with three wins from three, the runners up last year are certainly putting down a marker. Last year’s champions Thomastown as they beat Barrow Rangers comfortably. With a change in the format this year, the top teams in each group will contest this years league semi-finals while the remaining teams will begin the championship knock-out phase. The results from last nights games are below:

James Stephens 1-9 St Brigids 1-10
Conahy 1-8 St Martins 0-17
Barrow Rangers 1-11 Thomastown 4-10
Dicksboro 2-24 Young Irelands 1-6

In the Shaws Department Store Intermediate League there was also four games played over the weekend. Last year’s semi-finalists Mooncoin are flying high as the only team in the division to maintain a perfect record. Last year’s runners up Rower Inistioge are nicely poised in group c where it looks likely they’ll make the league semi-finals. With the same format as the Senior grade, there is still positions up for grabs at the top of the table with the remaining games to be be played this weekend. At the other end former Senior County and Leinster champions Mullinavat are struggling with form, they have lost a lot of players this year so they will be hoping their fortunes can turn around or they could be facing the drop back to junior. Here is the results from the games played over the weekend.
