Speaking to KCLR Erins Own manager Tommy Buggy believes the competition will throw up a few surprises due to the level of talent on show ;

“Trying to win an under-13C championship in Kilkenny is so difficult, never mind the senior championship. It’s impossible to predict what’s going to happen.”

“Who would have thought that the Shamrocks when they were so far behind, would have come back and got a draw against the Village? It turns out they’re in a relegation semi-final now as well.”

“It’s a crazy, crazy competition, but that’s what makes it so good. That’s why people come in their thousands to watch these games every weekend.”

“They’re (Players) all ready for a knockout game now, but they’ve had their 3 or 4 or 5 games under their belt. I think the standard is brilliant. I really do. I think it’s really good.”
