Lisdowney are the JJ Kavanagh and Sons Intermediate Football champions.
They took on Piltown last night in MW Hire Park in rough conditions, and came away with a 3-2 to 5 points win. They now take on will take on Kilbeggan Shamrocks this Saturday in the junior provincial championship as Carlow champs St. Mullins face Annanough.
On the intermediate side of things, Mullinavat travel to Stradbally for a meeting with Ballylinan at 2pm on Saturday.
At quarter to 5, we’ll be in Netwatch Cullen Park for full live commentary of Clonmore’s clash with St Malachy’s.
Later that evening, Eire Og gets their senior charge underway when they welcome Laois champions St Joseph’s to Netwatch Cullen Park for a 7pm throw-in. We’ll also have live commentary of that game.

Newcastle have confirmed midfielder Sandro Tonali is co-operating with an investigation into potential breaches of betting rules.
The Italy international withdrew from the squad for his country’s Euro 2024 qualifying defeat against England last night.
Tonali was one of three players named in the probe, along with Nicolo Fagioli of Juventus and Aston Villa’s Nicolo Zaniolo.

Mark Telea is back in the New Zealand team for Friday’s Rugby World Cup semi-final against Argentina.
He was dropped for disciplinary reasons ahead of the quarter-final win over Ireland last weekend.
