O’Loughlin Gaels are through to the Leinster Club Senior Hurling Championship semi-final following a 2-16 to 0-13 win over Mount Leinster Rangers yesterday at Netwatch Cullen Park
A goal in each half from Eoin Wall and Luke Hogan proved crucial as the Kilkenny champions withstood a second half comeback against the Carlow champions. Brian Hogan’s side will take on Kilcormac Kiloughey in the last four later this month after the Offaly team overcame Naomh Eanna.
Elsewhere in the other quarte-finals, Na Fianna defeated Westmeath side Ratharney and Naas were three point winners over Camross.
There was also success for Kilkenny team in provincial action on Saturday. Thomastown were 3-20 to 1-12 victors over Cloughbawn in the intermediate quarter final. Noel Doherty’s team will now face Kildalkey on November 25th in the semi-final.
Tullogher Rosbercon will also contest a semi-final on the same weekend in the junior championship. They secured a 5-26 to 1-01 defeat of Colt Shanahoe and will now go up against Father O’Regans Craanford in Enniscorthy.

There was one game in the Kilkenny Under 21 A Hurling Championship yesterday. Dunnamaggin were 0-17 to 1-12 winners over Bennettsbridge in a tight quarter-final.

The hosts scored a try to go a point ahead in the 79th minute, only for the visitors to kick a penalty in the dying moments of the game, securing a dramatic 24-22 victory.
