A goal in each half from Eoin Wall and Luke Hogan proved crucial as the Kilkenny champions withstood a second half comeback against the Carlow champions. Brian Hogan’s side will take on Kilcormac Kiloughey in the last four later this month after the Offaly team overcame Naomh Eanna.

A late penalty from Cole Palmer earned Chelsea a point from their Premier League encounter with Manchester City yesterday. It finished 4-all on a dramatic afternoon at Stamford Bridge. Liverpool are just a point behind leaders City after their 3-nil win over Brentford.

Elsewhere, Aston Villa beat Fulham 3-1, West Ham were 3-2 winners over Nottingham Forest and Brighton played out a 1-all draw with Sheffield United. Evan Ferguson didn’t feature in that game for Brighton due to a suspected back injury, meaning he’s now a doubt for Ireland’s clash with the Netherlands on Saturday.
