In a pulsating finale that will be remembered by the people of Dicksboro, the city club secured their first ever Leinster Championship title in the club’s history marking a significant milestone. The tightly contested final yesterday saw Dicksboro emerge as 0-12 to 1-7 victors, also denying St Vincents of Dublin back-to-back titles.
As Ray Kelly blew the final whistle that echoed through Netwatch Cullen stadium, Dicksboro’s supporters erupted in jubilation, celebrating not only the victory but the intensity and heart showed by an amzing group of players.

“I was absolutely emotional as the final whistle blew, I’m just honoured to be lifting the cup for a bunch of absoluting amaing people and I’m lucky enough to have my sisters and my cousins on the team with me, everyone here we’re all so close and it’s just so special when you can win with that close team”

“yeah I think thats been the making of us this year, we know there is so much time in it and the game can change so quick, even been down by four points in the second half I wasnt a bit concerned I knew we had plenty of time and we were just delighted when we got momentum going and I’m delighted to be lifting the cup now after it”
“I know winning with the County is brilliant and it’s brilliant to be representing your County but clubs is where you come from you have your family and your friends and I’m geeting emotioanl again but its just so special lifting the cup with an amazing bunch of people”
“Absolutly brilliant, going out this year all we had in our head was winning the County Final after our defeat last year so everytime we’re winning it’s a bonus and we’re absolutey delighted to be competeting in the All-Ireland series”
