Speaking at the recent Hurling for Cancer Charity match, Carlow GAA’s PRO, Ger Doyle, shed some light on the situation. “Well, there’s a possibility that TG4 might cover it again, and they’re interested,” Doyle revealed. “They’re seeing the product that we have here, the solid quality of the game, a cracking game. They’re very interested in showing it again next Sunday.”

Doyle emphasized that the timing of the game will depend on TG4’s decision. “We’re waiting to hear back from them whether they will or not. Timing will be one that will suit them, and it’ll have to suit us as well, of course. But at the moment, it’s provisionally fixed at 3 PM next Sunday, the 18th of August.”

Regardless of whether TG4 decides to broadcast the game, fans can rest assured that they won’t miss a moment of the action as KCLR will provide full live commentary of the match, ensuring that those who can’t make it to Netwatch Cullen Park will still be able to follow every play as it happens.

One thing is certain: whether you’re watching from the stands, listening to live commentary, or potentially tuning in on TG4, the showdown between Mount Leinster Rangers and St. Mullins is a must-see event that promises to deliver high drama, intense competition, and the kind of hurling spectacle that Carlow is renowned for.

The stage is set for a historic day in Carlow hurling, and come Sunday, August 18th, all roads will lead to Netwatch Cullen Park for what promises to be a truly memorable final.
