Bennekerry/Tinryland are on the cusp of history as they prepare for their first-ever AIB Leinster Ladies Intermediate Club Final.
The Carlow champions will face Meath’s Dee Rangers this Saturday at 2:30 pm in Kinnegad, with live coverage available on KCLR.
Having secured back-to-back victories in the past two weekends, the team enters the final with momentum and determination. Manager Chris Townsend is brimming with confidence about his squad’s readiness for the challenge ahead.
“I suppose you have to look at it from a positive perspective; we have the momentum with us,” Townsend remarked. “I don’t think anything is really gonna stop these girls in terms of their own preparation. They just want next Saturday to come around as quick as possible, and hopefully, we get the right result.”
Townsend also highlighted the tremendous community support that buoyed the team throughout their campaign.
“We have huge support. The crowd will be behind us, and we’ll have an even bigger crowd next Saturday.”
