There are two changes on the Kilkenny team for Sunday’s Final from the side that started in the replay against Waterford. Kieran Joyce, who missed out against Waterford in the semi-final replay, returns in place of the injured Michael Fennelly while Kevin Kelly is chosen at corner forward with Mark Bergin dropping to the subs bench.
The team trained for the public in a strong evening sun at Nowlan Park earlier this evening, departing the pitch at Nowlan Park just before 7pm to the rousing sounds of the Rose of Mooncoin.
With all the physical preparation done, the focus now shifts to the mental side of the game before the team and a county of supporters make the pilgrimage to Croke Park on Sunday morning ahead of a 3.30pm throw-in.
