Sunday 4 September 2016 saw Tipperary crowned as the All-Ireland senior hurling champions for the 27th time.
With the sides trading points up to a 0-14 to 0-12 halftime scoreline in favour of the Premier County, Kilkenny recovered early in the second half through a Kevin Kelly goal and more free taking from TJ Reid before Tipperary effectively shut up shop, got their own goal and drove on at pace to the finish.
Calling the action for KCLR were Brendan Hennessy and Michael Walsh along with Kevin Regan. Listen below for full commentary including pre-match, half time and post-match analysis.
