Calling all lovers of Gaelic Games in Carlow!
Your Support is now needed more than ever!
In case you have been living under a rock, your County’s Senior Camogie Team have the small matter of an All Ireland Premier Junior Camogie Final to contest in Croke Park on Sunday.
These girls have put 110% into their preparations over the past few years and have steadily been progressing through the ranks under the guidance of Mark Brennan and all his backroom staff.
The sacrifices that the girls have had to make are enormous and during the winter they were in action 5 out of 7 days days a week in order to put themselves into a position to make it to Croke Park on All Ireland Final Day.
It’s not too often that a team from Carlow get to play in Croke Park, let alone in an All Ireland Final and I think that it’s about time that these girls get the support they deserve in their attempt to land the Premier Junior Crown.
If the Carlow Senior Footballers reached an All Ireland Final then the whole county would converge on Croke Park and the last man to leave would be told to turn off the lights.
In Fairness the Carlow Senior Hurlers probably don’t get as much support either, but they too would have numbers behind them albeit to a lesser extend than the footballers.
Progression is most definitely something that the Carlow Senior Camogie Team are obsessively addicted to and with this attitude they stand a great chance of causing an upset against the favourites Armagh on Sunday.
So I strongly urge the people of Carlow to get to Croke Park on Sunday and give these girls the support they deserve and the same goes for the Kilkenny folk who will be there for the Intermediate and Senior Finals too.
