Ballymurphy Celtic Ladies team are putting the finishing touches to their preparations for the new season but are awaiting some of their players who are on duty with their respective camogie teams at present.

Ballymurphy finished level on points with Crettyard but lost in the play off for the league.

They won the Carlow cup in 2013 and have always produced a side that are well able to compete at this level.

Coaching and getting a good management team in place would make a difference in how they perform this season.

Maria Doyle is the team Captain and picked up the 2016 Division One player of the year at the Carlow League Awards Night.

Watch our interview below with Maria Doyle and Niamh Fitzpatrick from the Carlow League Launch in the Seven Oaks Hotel in Carlow.
