Rower-Inistioge joint manager Brendan Fennelly admits that injuries have taken it’s toll.
His club are in action for the 5th straight weekend as they play O’Loughlin Gaels in this Sunday’s St. Canice’s Credit Union Senior Hurling Championship Semi-Final and Brendan told KCLR that they are affected by the Championship system.
“The biggest problem is injuries. I mean injuries have taken their toll. In the last 4 matches there now in the last 4 weeks I mean we have lost Joe Lyng, we have lost Sean Lyster through a hand injury, we have lost James Cassin through cartilage and we have lost Michael Grace last weekend so I mean that has to take its toll.
That’s the problem with the system. I mean the Shamrocks and O’Loughlin’s there, they are only playing their second game in the Championship. We are after been out. This is our 5th week in a row, there is a big imbalance there but I mean we just have to get on with it. Look, O’Loughlin’s are a team that are there year on year, a very experienced team”
