Carlow Town Hurling manager Joe Fanning admits the club are struggling in their progression.

Carlow Town go into Saturday’s Leinster Junior Club Championship clash away to Ratoath of Meath after a 10-point defeat to Mt. Leinster Rangers in last Saturday’s County Intermediate Final, and speaking to KCLR, Joe says expected upcoming retirements within the squad won’t help with their progression…..

“The goal is to always to get back Senior. It’s like anything”

“I suppose underage and stuff like that, they had their problems but if we could get one or two lads every year, that’s the goal for every club. If we could get that we would be getting back there”

“Unfortunately, we probably have a couple of retirements coming now which are coming at the wrong time but all as we can do is keep going”
