Ballyhale Shamrocks Minor hurler Evan Shefflin says they were determined to win the County Final since the very beginning of the year.
Speaking to KCLR after Saturday’s County Minor Final victory over James Stephens, Evan says they were made win the hard way.
“We wanted to win from the start of the year. Ever since we played Graigue-Ballycallan in that first match, we wanted this thing and we went and got it. Ah listen they(James Stephens) are a fantastic team, we knew coming in here, it was going to be put up to us. Everyone was saying we had this won since we beat the Boro but no against the Village, they are always going to give it 110% and that’s what they did and fair play to them. We will remember it for years to come, hopefully we can do the double now next weekend”
