Intermediate Soaring Stars Awards
Kilkenny had five of this year’s Intermediate Camogie All-Ireland winning side on the original shortlist for this year’s Soaring Stars awards
Of the five, two have picked up their first awards – Jenny Clifford and Ciara Holden taking home the honours alongside Cork’s Chloe Sigerson and Linda Collins along with Jane Dolan (Meath) and Aisling Burke (Laois).
Kilkenny’s Ciara Holden was named as the Intermediate Players’ Player of the Year.
Junior Soaring Stars Awards
With Carlow tasting glory in the Premier Junior final on All-Ireland Sunday this September, so too did Carlow’s Eleanor Treacy and Ciara Quirke on Saturday night, both picking up their first Soaring Star awards.
Completing the six awards winners were Armagh’s Ciara Donnelly and Bernie Murray along with Roscommon’s Kelley Hopkins and Westmeath’s Dinah Loughlin.
Carlow’s Eleanor Treacy also picked up this year’s Junior Players’ Player of the Year award.
Manager Of The Year
Having seen her side take the O’Duffy Cup back to Kilkenny for the first time in two decades, Ann Downey was named this year’s Manager Of The Year.

When the All Star nominations were first announced at the beginning of October, Ann Downey had this to say.
“Well it’s nice to be recognized for the effort that they have put in for the year and the fact we have won the All-Ireland, it is an added bonus, but to be quite honest, I’d say the girls are just happy with their All-Ireland medal at this stage and anything after that is a bonus. There’s always going to be awards night, there is always going to be someone who is disappointed about it, but that’s just an added extra but happy that we have got the All-Ireland”
