Nowlan Park has been shortlisted as a potential venue for Irelands 2023 Rugby World Cup bid.
The home of Kilkenny Gaa is on a list along with Croke Park, The Aviva Stadium, and the RDS as possible venues in Leinster.
There’s 12 venues on the longlist, Kingspan Stadium, Thomond Park, Fitzgerald Stadium Killarney, Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork, Elverys MacHale Park in Castlebar and Pearse Stadium in Galway are in the running along with the Ulster stadia of Casement Park and Derry’s Celtic Park.
The selection process will run from now until November 2017, when World Rugby will decide on the successful candidate to host the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
