Cuala hurler Paul Schutte says the experience of being in the competition last year stood them as they won the Leinster Final yesterday against O’Loughlin Gaels.
Speaking to KCLR after the game, Paul says they were focused on the Leinster Championship once they won the County Final.
“Yeah, it’s something we kind of looked at. Last year, we took the Leinster Championship a bit in our stride last year. This year, we probably had a bit more experience on how to handle it and thank god we did.
We worked hard, we won the Dublin Championship and now we really focused on getting to a Leinster Final, today we won it so it’s a brilliant day for the club and brilliant year really.
I am not sure if Mattie (Kenny – Cuala manager) is going to let us enjoy the Christmas, but we will enjoy the night, we will enjoy the next couple of days anyway, and then we will towards the semi-final anyway”
