Coolkenna man Bernard Jackman is being linked with the Connacht head coach job after Pat Lam announced his departure.
Ronan O’Gara and Nigel Carolan are also names that have been mentioned for the role.
Connacht C.E.O Willie Ruane says he’d like an Irish coach to come through but that first and foremost though the coach needs to be quality.
Ruane says they want someone who plays a good brand of rugby.
