Parkville United Youths Soccer manager Podge Rooney says the squad will be full of confidence having defeated a team like Villa in the last round of the FAI Youths Cup.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s 3rd Round FAI Youths Cup game away to Corrib Celtic, Podge is hoping to keep the winning momentum and confidence going…..

“We lost one game to Gorey last week, but we have one every game up to this point so hopefully looking to keep that going this Sunday anyway”

“Sure hopefully, they have gone used to winning in the last two and a half years so, delighted and they enjoy it so hopefully they can keep that going”

“Well yeah, Villa probably would have been the favourites to come out of our region and we defeated them in the last round so the lads would be full of confidence after beating a team as good as Villa”
