A rare scenario is set to emerge this coming Sunday when Kilkenny travel to take on Westmeath in Mullingar.
Westmeath have none other than KCLR Analyst Michael Walsh on their backroom and he has been a part of the set up for over 2 years at this stage now.
This year Michael’s son Ollie has been called in to the Kilkenny Senior Set up and he was among the goalscorers last Sunday when Kilkenny comfortably defeated Antrim.
It’s not too often that this crops up in the World of GAA, particularly at Inter-County level.
Last year Michael was also a key member of the Westmeath under 21 backroom team who masterminded a memorable victory over Kilkenny.
