DJ Carey says they can’t afford to have injuries ahead of a very busy week of games for IT Carlow.
The Carlow College travel to Galway for Saturday’s Walsh Cup Semi-Final before playing the defending holders Mary I of Limerick in the Fitzgibbon Cup next week, and speaking to KCLR.
DJ didn’t think they would have done as well as they have in the Walsh Cup…..
“So we are very surprised actually that we are where we are at this stage, because I would have expected at least Offaly to have come out of the group, but you know what, we are where we are”
“Now it’s difficult for us now because we played the first round of the Fitzgibbon Cup and we are playing now next week as well against Mary I which is the really big one in the group. It’s a tough one on ourselves going to Galway and we certainly can’t afford to have injuries”
