I.T Carlow will look to make it two wins out of two in the Fitzgibbon Cup this evening.

DJ Carey’s charges defeated D.I.T last week, and tonight they host Mary I on home turf, which begins at 7 o clock.

After winning a flurry of league titles Carlow will want to push on this time out and they signaled their intend last week by racking up 4-18 in that win over the Dublin College.

They have serious fire power in Kilkenny’s Chris Bolger who bagged a brace of goals last time out, Laois stars Cha Dwyer and Stephen Maher, Carlow’s Marty Kavanagh and Jack Fagan who is now Hurling in Waterford.

The pivotal point of the attack though is towering centre forward Mark Russell who has an incredible nack of winning clean ball.

There’s also a local pairing at Midfield with Carlow’s James Doyle and Kilkenny’s Kevin Kelly providing serious ball for that potent attack.

The I.T Carlow defence for the most part is solid if unspectacular and although it doesn’t really contain many household names, they play well as a unit.

Mary I have serious quality in the likes of Ronan Maher, Colm Galvin and Cian Lynch and they are the reigning Fitzgibbon Cup Champions after all so they will be a tough nut to crack tonight.

I think I.T Carlow are a great price at 6/4 and if they come up with the goods tonight then it will open things up for them big time.

Verdict: I.T Carlow
