Carlow Ladies Inter-League manager Patrick Dowling says they will benefit greatly from their 3-3 draw against Cork on Sunday.
Speaking to KCLR on Monday’s The Way It Is, Dowling says they are battle-hardened now……
“I had six girls that started and it was their first ever Inter-County match”
“To come through a game like that against a good Cork Team in fairness to them. It will stand them in good stead going forward as well. We are up in Dublin next and we are playing the Metropolitan League, they play there just outside the Airport, the Oscar Traynor Centre so it will be another good test but I had 6 girls that started, it was their first ever Inter-County match and to come through a game like that against a good Cork Team in fairness to them, it will stand them in good stead”
“The only thing now is they are battled hardened now and they know what they need to do and they have to three weeks to work on stuff together. I think we will be ok, I hope so anyway”
