Evergreen manager Packie Holden can’t understand how striker Sean Barcoe has never got international recognition.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s FAI Junior Cup Quarter-Final clash at home to Killmallock, Packie says that Sean has been the outstanding player in Junior Soccer in Kilkenny over the past five years…..

“We are in it to win it. Make no bones about it, we are looking to win this competition”

“I don’t think that some of the lads have got the recognition that they have deserved”

“Definitely Sean Barcoe has been probably the outstanding Junior player in Kilkenny for the last 4 or 5 years and how he hasn’t got a Junior International cap at this stage is beyond me and beyond a lot of people that we have played against, whether it is teams from Dublin coming down and been very impressed with, a lot of the guys, but I have to say I have to single out Sean Barcoe, how he hasn’t got an International call-up is beyond me”

We’ll have live commentary of the game online on www.kclrfanzone.com
