Local man Tom Foley says Toushan’s favourable weight will greatly help his prospects in Saturday’s feature race in Gowran Park, which is the Holden Plant Rentals Handicap steeplechase.
Speaking to KCLR, Tom says that Toushan ran a good race under top weight in Clonmel last week.
“He is in at a nice weight which is a change. He always runs well in Gowran. He likes the fences, they are good fences so hopeful that he will run a good race.
“He has put in some good runs in Gowran and that so it’s a big help when you get a good ground like what should be in Gowran getting a stone or stone and a half it makes a big difference towards giving away a stone and a half the other day in Clonmel which was a big ask.” said Foley
