The 25-year-old former University Limerick student won her first senior cap in the 2013 Cyprus Cup against South Africa having played numerous times at underage international level.

Having helped Peamount United win the 2013 Bus Eireann Women’s National League Cup and Ireland to sixth place at the 2013 World University Games, Duggan moved to UCD Waves for 2014-15 season.

She also holds the accolade of being the only player to have been selected on the National League Team of the Season for the past four years.

Duggan received her award from new Ireland women’s manager Colin Bell. It took a while for Duggan to crack the Irish sarting eleven but she’s turned in some eye-catching performances over the past season and deservedly claims the award for 2016/17.

Elsewhere, Robbie Brady was the big winner on the night, picking up Young Player fo the Year, Senior Player of the Year and Goal of the Year for his Euro 2016 strike against Italy.
