The league campaign is already a distant memory for Carlow’s senior hurlers as it’s back to Christy Ring action this weekend.
With their first round fixture a repeat of this year’s Allianz Hurling League Division 2 Final, Carlow welcome Antrim to Netwatch Cullen Park at 3pm this Saturday afternoon.
Three points separated the sides when they last met and if it’s tight at the final whistle, extra time will be played if necessary.
Down and Roscommon get this year’s competition off to a start in the early game at 1pm in Ballycran while Mayo and Kildare go head to head at Elverys MacHale Park in Castlebar at 3pm. There’s one game down for decision on Sunday with Wicklow hosting London in Arklow at 1pm.
Carlow’s home game on Saturday will be preceded by the Eirgrid Leinster Minor Football Championship fixture beween Carlow and Kildare at 1pm.
