Following the success of their J1 side in the Provincial Towns Cup over Easter weekend, Tullow’s J2 mens rugby side have a chance to bring more silverware back to Blackgates this Sunday.

Making the short trip to Oak Park in Carlow, Tullow’s welcome Naas to the county for the final of the 2017 Provincial Towns Seconds Cup.

While the Tullow J2s may not have been as free-scoring as the J1s in their four games to date, they did pick up four clear victories including a two home wines against Ashbourne (15-3) and Gorey (16-5) in February of this year.

With the cup break in March, Tullow were on the road for April, running out 17-3 winners away to Wexford Wanderers at Park Lane before picking up a 22-11 win over Wicklow in their semi-final clash last weekend.

Nass, however, racked up some big scoring games – a 43-5 win over Roscrea in the opening round was followed by a 69-15 demolition of Portaloise on St. Patrick’s weekend. They knocked in a 28-10 victory at home to Rathdrum before seeing off Balbriggan by a single score (19-16) at North Kildare earlier this month.

Kick off is set for 2pm this Sunday at Oak Park, Carlow.
