Graigue-Ballycallan Eddie Brennan is delighted to be still involved playing at 40 years of age.
Eddie is combining his playing duties with his new role as Laois Senior Hurling Manager.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s Intermediate showdown with Tullaroan , Eddie explains the differences between playing and managing.
“I suppose the difference is is that as a manager you are looking with a wider lens, you are looking at everybody involved, you are looking at 30 plus players, backroom staff, maybe logistics and all sorts of stuff like that stuff that you kind of have to have right.
“As a player, you are more focused on your own head and getting yourself right for that so that’s probably the big difference.
“Players can worry about themselves, while the manager probably has to look at the bigger picture and everyone else involved so that’s probably the big difference,” he said.
