Megan Randle has won the RILSA National Intermediate Snooker Championship title for the second time in Newbridge last weekend.
The Randle family who live in Kilkenny have dominated the National Intermediate Championships over the past three seasons with Megan taking the 2018 title against her mother Suzanne and returned to the final in 2019 to lose out to twin Carrie who took the. title. The twin sisters returned in 2020 to contest the final once again.
Stephanie Morrison from Carlow was also involved losing out to Carrie along the way, as Carrie hunted for her second title in succession, a feat that has never been done before. In Fact the title had not been won twice by any player, which added to the final stakes.
Unfortunately for Carrie, it was not to be. losing out to her twin sister Megan, who now takes number 1 spot up from 24th on the National Intermediate Rankings while sister Carrie is in 2nd place up from 20th.
