Kilkenny Senior Hurling manager Brian Cody says that attitude, determination and work-rate must remain the same regardless of what time of the year it is.
Speaking to KCLR after Saturday’s Walsh Cup Semi-Final victory over Offaly, Brian says they are not affected by the fact it’s the busiest start to a year for some time.
“Yeah, well I mean the conditions are as they are for both teams and everybody would love the be playing hurling on a firmer pitch, but the pitch was good to be fair, but I mean Summer conditions are different.
“But it doesn’t change the fact that your attitude has to be right, your work-rate, your determination to win the battle and those things will happen in the Summer as well and the ball will move a bit faster but that’s the only difference.
“It’s a fierce busy time so early in the year, and there is just so much going on so it’s the busiest start of a season that we ever have had really, the same for all teams, but look we are there now, we are in the middle of it and we just drive it on,” he said.
