Erins Own Castlecomer Senior Hurling manager Liam Dowling says the attitude of the panel has been first class throughout the year despite been involved in a relegation battle.

The Castlecomer Club eased any relegation worries with victory over Carrickshock in last weekends first replay, and speaking to KCLR ahead of Saturday afternoon’s Senior Hurling Quarter-Final showdown against James Stephens, Liam says they will be in no way unfazed despite been massive underdogs…..

“For us going forward, it’s about one thing, it’s about panel, it’s about been able to use 20, 21, 22 lads and that’s where we are and that’s the way it’s going to be and they understand that. We have got great value from everyone that has come in, the attitude has been fantastic”

“The Village are what they are, they have proved they are an excellent team this year, they are the form team through the League, they deserve obviously to where they are and they deserve to be favorites for next weekend so we are coming from a relegation Semi-Final and they were looking at us from a lofty place, so we will prepare during the week as well as we can and we will give one good rattle, I am looking forward to it”
